These Terms of Service govern your use of California Will Template and any will draft you order through it. By using the service you agree to them.
California Will Template is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or attorney representation. We offer an automated self-help tool. Using it does not create an attorney-client relationship. If you need advice about your particular situation, please consult a licensed California attorney.
You answer a set of questions and we generate a personalized will draft. The draft is a starting point only. To create a valid California holographic will, you must copy the entire document out in your own handwriting and sign it, as required by California Probate Code Sec. 6111. Dating it clearly is strongly recommended. You are responsible for reviewing the draft and making sure it reflects your wishes.
The price shown at checkout applies and is stated in US dollars (USD), plus any applicable sales tax. Payment is due when you place your order.
Our refund terms are described on the separate Refund Policy page.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, California Will Template is not liable for the validity, completeness, or interpretation of any will you write out by hand from a draft, or for any indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the draft.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits any rights you have under California consumer protection law.
