Privacy Policy

This policy explains how California Will Template collects and uses your personal information. Because we serve California residents, we handle information in line with the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the CCPA/CPRA).

1. Who is responsible

The business responsible for your information is the operator named in the Legal Notice. Questions about privacy can be sent to support@californiawilltemplate.com.

2. What we collect

We collect the details you type into the will form (for example your name, email address, and information about your family, property, and wishes) along with basic technical data such as your IP address and the date and time you visit.

3. Why we use it

We use your information to build and deliver your will draft, to process your payment, to answer your messages, and to keep the service running and secure. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CPRA.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it.

5. Service providers

We share information with vendors that host our site, deliver email, and process payments, only to the extent they need it to perform those functions on our behalf.

6. Your California privacy rights

Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy, to ask us to correct it, and to ask us to delete it, subject to legal exceptions. You also have the right not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. To make a request, email us at support@californiawilltemplate.com and we will verify and respond as required by law.

7. Security

We use appropriate safeguards, including TLS (SSL) encryption of data in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data protected.
